Challenges: To plan, organise and deliver a three day conference for 350 attendees, incorporating a
conference dinner on the first evening, two separate dinners on the second evening, and plan/manage the logistics to move the entire conference to a different location overnight for the third day.

The Yard’s Big Fun Raiser

Event: A major fundraising Ball for a children’s adventure centre, which provides services to over 2000 children, young people and their families, and to assist with expansion plans
Venue: Sheraton Grand, Edinburgh
Attendees: 300
Challenges: To assist the client and their volunteer fundraising committee to plan, organise and manage a major fundraising event that was fun, imaginative and not too ‘corporate’. The addition of professional event management skills into the mix meant that the committee was encouraged to significantly raise its sights and increase the event’s fundraising capability. The event raised over £62,000 to help with the charity’s future plans.

Event: 1-day conference for an Edinburgh based third sector organisation
Venue: Crowne Plaza Edinburgh – The Roxburghe
Attendees: 100
Challenges: To contribute as much as possible to an exceedingly busy client event management
team and undertaking venue negotiations, speaker liaison and on-site event management on the day.

Golf Tourism Scotland Excellence Awards

Event: Awards dinner for Golf Tourism Scotland
Venue: Cameron House, Loch Lomond
Attendees: 120
Challenges: To join an established events team just a few days before the event and make a
valuable contribution both in the preparation for the event and also on the night.
